Every day, we will post a few brief prayers inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours.
O Lord, open my lips. And my mouth shall declare your praise.
Psalm 66:16-20
Come and hear, all who fear God. I will tell what he did for my soul: to him I cried aloud, with high praise ready on my tongue. If there had been evil in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But truly God has listened; he has heeded the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God who did not reject my prayer nor withhold his love from me.
Reading: 2 Timothy 2:8, 11-13
Remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, was raised from the dead. You can depend on this: If we have died with him we shall also live with him; If we hold out to the end we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he will still remain faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
The Canticle of Mary
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.
Intercessions
Let us never turn aside from your way of truth. Lord, hear our prayer! Fill us with your joy. Lord, hear our prayer! Give us a spirit of gratitude. Lord, hear our prayer!
Dear Jesus, Never deprive us of your guidance. May we always listen to your voice and so find eternal life. We ask the Father for this in your name in union with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
