Every day, we will post a few brief prayers inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours.
O Lord, open my lips. And my mouth shall declare your praise.
Psalm 145:13b-21
The Lord is faithful in all his words and loving in all his deeds. The Lord supports all who fall and raises all who are bowed down. The eyes of all creatures look to you and you give them their food in due time. You open wide your hand, grant the desires of all who live. The Lord is just in all his ways and loving in all his deeds. He is close to all who call him, who call on him from their hearts. He grants the desires of those who fear him, he hears their cry and he saves them. The Lord protects all who love him; but the wicked he will utterly destroy. Let me speak the praise of the Lord, let all mankind bless his holy name for ever, for ages unending.
Reading: Revelation 22:4-5
They shall see the Lord face to face and bear his name on their foreheads. The night shall be no more. They will need no light from lamps or the sun, for the Lord God shall give them light, and they shall reign forever.
The Canticle of Mary
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.
Intercessions
Fill with hope those who have none. May we see your wonders, Lord! Heal the sick and accompany the dying. May we see your wonders, Lord! Free us from our sins. May we see your wonders, Lord!
Dear Jesus, May we always be single minded in serving you. Never let us be distracted by the cares of this life but may we bring our worries to you. We ask the Father for this in your name in union with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
