Perhaps one of the biggest sins is one we don’t notice. It is, after all, the sin of not noticing. It manifests itself in many hidden ways.

Not noticing God:

• His Blessings
• His Presence
• His Love

Not noticing people

• Their needs and fragility
• Their humanity
• Their originality

Not noticing the world

• Its beauty
• Its variety
• Its splendor

Not even noticing yourself

• Your gifts
• Your thoughts
• Your desires

It leads us to sin in so many ways by making our minds dull and our hearts hard. Consider the rich man and Lazarus. Overcoming this sin, which we probably commit more than any other, is going to cost us something. We will have to pay attention.
