O Lord, open my lips. And my mouth shall declare your praise.

All peoples, clap your hands,
cry to God with shouts of joy!
For the Lord, the Most High, we must fear,
great king over all the earth.
He subdues peoples under us
and nations under our feet.
Our inheritance, our glory, is from him,
given to Jacob out of love.
God goes up with shouts of joy;
the Lord goes up with trumpet blast.

Late have I loved you, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new, late have I loved you! You were within me, but I was outside, and it was there that I searched for you. In my unloveliness I plunged into the lovely things which you created. You were with me, but I was not with you. Created things kept me from you; yet if they had not been in you they would not have been at all. You called, you shouted, and you broke through my deafness. Intercessions
Watch over those who serve your Church. Look on us with favor, Lord! Heal our world wounded by war. Look on us with favor, Lord! Forgive us for the times we have turned against you. Look on us with favor, Lord!
Dear Father, Draw us to yourself through the intercession of your servant, Augustine. We ask this through Jesus your Son in union with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
