O Lord, my heart is not proud nor haughty my eyes. I have not gone after things too great nor marvels beyond me. Truly I have set my soul in silence and peace. As a child has rest in its mother’s arms, even so is my soul. O Israel, hope in the Lord both now and for ever.
Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Praised be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation! He comforts us in all our afflictions and thus enables us to comfort those who are in trouble, with the same consolation we have received from him. As we have shared much in the suffering of Christ, so through Christ do we share abundantly in his consolation.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.
Intercessions
Help us to do your will in all we do today. Lord, have mercy on us! Turn our hearts to seek you. Lord, have mercy on us! May we repent and believe in you. Lord, have mercy on us!
Dear Jesus, Help us to seek you at all times. We ask the Father for this in your name in union with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
