Every day, we will post a few brief prayers inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours.
O Lord, open my lips. And my mouth shall declare your praise.
I have done what is right and just: let me not be oppressed. Vouch for the welfare of your servant lest the proud oppress me. My eyes yearn for your saving help and the promise of your justice. Treat your servant with love and teach me your commands. I am your servant, give me knowledge; then shall I know your will. It is time for the Lord to act for your law has been broken. That is why I love your commands more than finest gold, why I rule my life by your precepts: I hate the ways of falsehood.
Reading: Galatians 5:26; 6:2
Let us never be boastful, or challenging, or jealous toward one another. Help carry one another's burdens; in that way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
The Canticle of Mary
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.
We pray Lord, increase our faith. Come, Lord Jesus! We pray Lord, increase our hope. Come, Lord Jesus! We pray Lord, increase our charity. Come, Lord Jesus!
Dear Jesus, We praise you and offer you all that we say and do. Amen.
