September 10 2022 Daily Prayer

Every day, we will post a few brief prayers inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours.

O Lord, open my lips. And my mouth shall declare your praise.

Psalm 117

O praise the Lord, all you nations,
acclaim him, all you peoples!

Strong is his love for us;
he is faithful for ever.

Reading: Micah 6:8

You have been told, O man, what is good,
and what the Lord requires of you:
Only to do the right and to love goodness,
and to walk humbly with your God.

The Canticle of Mary

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.

Give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, bless your people!
Console those who are sorrowful.
Lord, bless your people!
Help us to follow the example of Mary, your Mother.
Lord, bless your people!
Dear Jesus,
May we follow you with sincere trust. We know that you will lead us to the Father. We ask the Father for this in your name in union with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
