This month our calendar focuses on saints around the world. Each day this month, we will feature a saint for the day. You can download our coloring sheet and fact page for St. Adrian of Canterbury below.

Today we celebrate the Baptism of Jesus. We can learn many things from this feast day. One of them is humility. What is humility? Humility is truth. Humility is desiring to use your talents in the way that God wants them to be used. Jesus, although God, allows himself to be baptized by a man. He is seen with sinners. This is the model for all of us. And although John the Baptist was given the exalted duty of baptizing Jesus, he himself would say, “He must increase, I must decrease.” Today’s saint Adrian of Canterbury was chosen to be archbishop of Canterbury. But he thought that his friend Theodore would do a better job. And he served in a lower position. He understood that God will raise up those who are humble.
