Jesus is the one who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. He wants us to repent of our sins so that he can fill us with the Holy Spirit.

At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd.
Jesus is the one who suffers with us. He sees us troubled and abandoned and he knows how to help us. We should turn to him because he cares for us.

“Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.”
Jesus is the Son. He shows us how to be like children dependent on our Father for everything and obedient to his will. Mary is the perfect model since she was always dependent on God and obedient at all times.
December 7, 2023 Thursday
“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.”
Jesus is the architect. He knows the right way for us to build our houses. We must make him the foundation and then our house will be built on love and will survive forever.
December 6, 2023 Wednesday
“My heart is moved with pity”
Jesus is the one who suffers with us. He feels all our pain, sorrows, and difficulties. And he knows how to fill us with everything we lack.
December 5, 2023 Tuesday
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.”
Jesus is the one who teaches us how to praise the Father. We can know the Father if we imitate Jesus in praising him and loving him.

a centurion approached him and appealed to him
Jesus is approachable. How can we approach him? Only through faith. We must believe in him and believe his words.

“He leaves home and places his servants in charge, each with his own work”
Jesus is like a man traveling abroad. He has put us in charge of his children, his possessions, his work. He wants us to become like him by the careful attention we give to all that he has entrusted to us.
December 2, 2023 Saturday
“Be vigilant at all times”
Jesus is the one we will stand before at the end of our life. Let us stand before him now in praise, adoration, thanksgiving, supplication, and love.

“Know that the Kingdom of God is near.”
Jesus is near. When we look around and consider anything, he is there looking at it with us. He is present in all places and especially he is present in our minds, hearts, and souls.
